Project Overview
Verksmogrillen is a family-owned restaurant and
café in the heart of Verksmon, Sweden, founded during the 2020 pandemic. They serve premium chuck burgers made with fresh ingredients and lots of love, all in a cosy, cinema-inspired setting with friendly, personal service.
I collaborated with the team to build a cohesive brand experience across both physical and digital touchpoints. This included designing a clean,
easy-to-navigate website that reflects the
welcoming personality of the restaurant and allows customers to explore the menu or place takeaway orders with ease.
Inside the restaurant, I developed a digital menu system displayed across three overhead screens above the ordering counter. These were designed to clearly present their wide selection of burgers, meals, and sides in an appealing, easy-to-read format that enhances the in-store ordering experience.
To complement the digital elements, I also created a printed trifold takeaway menu. It mirrors the visual identity of the brand while offering a compact, practical solution for customers who prefer browsing the menu on the go.
To bring clarity and visual consistency to the menu layouts, I also created a set of custom illustrations for each menu category—such as burgers, salads, sandwiches, and more. Designed in the brand’s core colour palette of red, white, and black, these line-style illustrations added a playful yet polished touch while staying true to Verksmogrillen’s identity.
Together, these elements—including the illustrations—helped streamline the ordering experience and strengthen Verksmogrillen’s brand identity, both in-store and online.
